Petra W. Barathova is a Slovakian, Germany-based photographer and former opera singer.

After a long, successful career on various stages in German-speaking countries, she decided to switch perspective and follow her true calling – people photography.

This passion originated in the backstage of the theatre, where she loved to capture the theater life, her colleagues and the special lighting atmosphere.

She has been working as a portrait, nude and art photographer for ten years now.

Her greatest source of inspiration are classical masterpieces, which have a direct influence on the light structure and setting of her work. Through her training as a stage actress, she is able to coach her models in the art of expression, which means that her portraits have an above-average expressiveness.

Human soul and finding art are her most important subjects.
